"Please close the browser to protect your privacy."

It's not really my privacy I'm protecting; it's my security.

I wish they'd call it that.

Outlook sometimes tells me that it has not downloaded the images in an e-mail "to protect your privacy."

I'm not sure what it's actually protecting, if anything. My delicate sensibilities?
