The Queen Mary 2

sailed in to San Francisco Bay yesterday. The QuickTime video at the link is amusing. Watch all the little sailboats and ferries fluttering about the big ship.

"Fewer than 30 feet separated the Golden Gate Bridge's underside from the ship's tallest point, giving people gathered on the bridge a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the 1,131-foot long ship."

And if you watch the video you'll see the S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien, one of only two Liberty ships from WWII still in operation. Added: QM2 video filmed from the Jeremiah.

Trippy video of the QEII. The little boats all look like toys ziping around. Apparently it was in Honolulu last Thusday and when I heard that I thought My God did I take a picture of the QEII from my house?

I compared my picture to the Pride of Aloha and its sister ship. Nope it was the inter island ship, not the QEII.

I'm pretty sure they said it's on its way to HI right now. Not sure which island tho'. Most be Oahu, right?

The freakin' thing's bigger than many of the smaller islands! You should be able to see it from every room of your house.

Oh my a royal gaff. It is the Queen Mary not Elizabeth.

Could be they said it would be here then. I heard it out of the corner of my ear in a story about its arrival in San Fran.
