When you're drinking cheap wine,

pour in some orange juice, serve it over ice and call it sangria.

What are some other easy ways to dress up cheap wine?

Pour it in a Waterford Crystal Decanter and serve with matching wine glasses.

About halfway into the second bottle you'll stop noticing how bad the wine is.

Not recommended for the weak is another Spanish method (they have a lot of bad wine to dispose of): Tinto de verano. (I suggest Pellegrino Limonata instead of Sprite).

I've found the best way to dress up cheap wine is bourbon. Not "in addition to" but "instead of."

Actually, a little sangria in the sunshine sounds wonderful.

You could float fruit chunks in it, or (my personal favorite)-add it to a large container of many other types of alcohol, float fruit in it, and drink the mix. It's a college (pukefest) favorite-in Indiana we called it "hairy buffalo". Not tasty, but extremely effective!

Buy good cheap wine. You won't need to add anything to it.

Heat it up & add cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves. Add a bit of sugar or honey to sweeten it if it's not sweet to begin with. Tasty!

With a really fruity red or white you can chill it WAY down, add ginger ale, strawberry and/or cherry juice, pineapple juice, and (if you want more kick) rum. Serve it over ice chips and call them grownup slushies. If you want to get fancy you can garnish with grilled pineapple slices.

Sorry to be late...
1.Drink the cheap wine second... like mmw said, you won't notice it.
2.Cook with it! Cooking with wine is a yummy thing to do!
