My Cole Hardware newsletter just alerted me to this upcoming event:
SUNDAY, MAY 27TH - GUERRILLA GARDENING BICYCLE TOUR AND LECTURE
An SF Bicycle Coalition, Garden for the Environment Bicycle Tour!
Sunday, May 27th | 10am – 1:30pm
Meeting Place: Garden for the Environment, 7th Ave at Lawton Street, San Francisco

Have you spotted a vacant lot desperately in need of a mini-garden? Plant-It-Yourself! Join the Garden for the Environment and the SFBC for a Guerrilla Gardening Bicycle tour and lecture. Learn about Guerrilla Gardening efforts in San Francisco and abroad, and pick-up some valuable Guerrilla Gardening techniques. After a sack lunch, we’ll hop on our bicycles for a tour of vacant lots and a continued discussion on planting and seeding techniques, appropriate plants (natives vs. garden plants), vacant lot politics and share some of our secret spots. We may even drop some plants in the ground and sow some seed. Bring your bicycle and a sack lunch. This workshop is free but pre-registration is requested. Call Garden for the Environment to let us know you are coming, (415) 731-5627 or email: info at gardenfortheenvironment dot org for more information.

I'm probably the only person in San Francisco who does not even own a bicycle. This seems extremely bloggable. Maybe I could follow along in my car.

Hell yea, that sounds like fun! No bike? Any rollerblades? This would be right up my alley, sneaking in floral beauty wherever you can, like it or not!

Are you crazy? You'll get a bike through the windshield.
