I think this is a good idea! That way, someone can not only learn how to do various things around the garden, but the garden itself can be streamlined to match the budding gardener's lifestyle and the amount of time they're willing to dedicate to it. You'd be great at this Chuck!

I think garden coaching makes sense--it's just like mentoring. I do it with my friend Ron, for free. (well, maybe that's kind of dumb)

There were some rabid comments on the SFC site.

Elizabeth--thank you for pointing out the comments in the Chronicle...too funny. Fortunately, there weren't very many of them. (I have a theory that most internet trolls live in the Bay Area. Although mine lives in North Carolina.)

I have to interpret the nastiness as a function of the fatigue that comes with living here for a long time. I know I have to check myself sometimes too.

Lisa, thank you! I would love to be a garden coach. But I feel like I still have sooo much to learn. People ask me garden questions now, and I rarely feel like I have strong answers.

Funny I am having an email convo w/ Susan Harris of Takoma/Gardenrant - I had sent her the link and she asked about the comments - which I went back read them and found them very odd.

Should I feel guilty about your NC troll? Did you acquire it before or after I moved here?

It isn't still leaving you comments is it after all this time?
