Working in healthcare 19 years and I can attest-I'd rather have a sloppy-dressing MD confident in his abilities than a sharp dresser "looking the part" who has NO CLUE! People don't realize that a lot of the best doctors are real pricks with lousy bedside manner...always best to do your homework and research outcomes (esp. regarding surgery) and not rely on personality alone.
