A little bit of advice for you, dear readers:

When you have your solar system installed, have a roofing contractor install the brackets that hold up the solar panels. Because it's possible the solar guy doesn't really know about roofs, and your roof might spring a leak in a windy rainstorm.

Then you have to pay a roofing contractor to fix the solar guy's job, or have the solar guy come back to fix something he obviously didn't know how to do right the first time.

Also, if possible, have the satellite guy install your dish on a vertical surface so water doesn't seep in around his work too.

Well that puts a bummer spin on an otherwise cool project! Good to know, cuz' I wanna go solar someday, too. (If my climate/amt. of sun will support it.)
