The Garden has a small bed dedicated to the All-Ameriacan Annuals. These three pictures are from that bed. A little bland for me.
I have to get out as much as possible this time of year. The daylight hours are falling away in San Francisco. We dropped below 14 hours of daylight yesterday. By September 1, we'll have only 13.

Your seasons kinda blow my mind....love the pictures, though! That red helenium is perennial for me.
Is the succulent plant in the last two pictures the same as the one you stumbled over (literally) and rescued a week or so back? Either way, how is your rescue doing?
I like the dahlia/amaranth combo, too. And are those flowers that are yellow at the edges and a lovely peachy/apricot in the centers some kind of canna lily? Gorgeous.
That red helenium is pretty.

My rescue seems fine. For me, it takes most succulent cuttings about a month to decide whether to live or die. This one hasn't up and died, so I assume it's still thinking things over. As succulents go, this one is very slow growing. It could be a long time before it's ready for transplant.
