I was going to work at the Botanical Garden plant sale this morning--first of the year--but it's raining. What kind of freak goes shopping for plants on a rainy Saturday morning in February? Well...
After a whole-wheat English muffin, I made a pot of coffee, piled comforters on the bed, and popped Veronica Mars in the DVD player. Season one, disc four.

The garden snob in me loves shopping for plants on rainy days... less riffraff to deal with! ;) Of course, if rainy February days in SF means 40 degrees and raining, then I take that back--I'd be right inside with you. No Veronica Mars for me, though.
Are you sure?
Tisk.
The spring sale at Matthei is the first of May. Often with temps hovering around 40 and rain. You should see the crowd.
I suspect our shorter season has something to do with our ragged enthusiasm!
Well, it's not really cold at all in San Francisco this week. High 50s. These are warm rains. And, February is often our coldest month. But we've been so parched this year, I'm getting in to the spirit of things by staying in and feeling oppressed by rain.
